After being saddened by todays passing away of Yamada Shihan, and doubly saddened to learn my former sensei, an ASU member Rick Rowell is gravely ill, I am ecstatic and so very glad 😃 and grateful that the most honorable Mitsugi Saotome Shihan is thriving. First time I ever trained with Professor Saotome was a gass'huku at Stanford University in the spring of 1975. Was a new 6th kyu then and 18. Wow now 66 and intriguingly still going strong as a Shodan. Life is a blessing we all share ! 🙏
