Aikido at Michigan Tech and Aikido Nanzan Dojo are please to host this seminar with David Goldberg Sensei. Goldberg Sensei is a 5thDegree Black Belt in Aikido, master swordsmith, and founder of Gold Mountain Forge. Goldberg Sensei has been awarded Ueshiba Juku designation by Mitsugi Saotome Shihan. This recognizes him as an inheritors of Aikido’s teachings and part of O Sensei’s lineage. Seminar Focus: This seminar will focus on the principles of aiki and their application to tanto (Japanese knife). Instruction will include training in basic through advanced techniques. Goldberg Sensei’s insights into Aikido principles and tanto will provide students with a unique opportunity to explore this aspect of training.
Students should bring their own bokken, tanto, and jo. Tanto will be available for those who do not have their own, provided by Aikido Nanzan Dojo.
There will be a potluck dinner on Saturday evening at Sensei Mark’s home.
