From George Ledyard – Many of our more senior folks would remember Okimura Sensei. He has passed away. He was one of the kindest, most open and friendly men I ever met. He was extremely generous to me. He allowed me to teach at his affiliated dojo, Kulshan Aikikai and when they had an anniversary celebration, invited me to teach with him along with Bruce Bookman Sensei at the event.

No this is sad news , Very loved person out going and friendly a true honor to be in his company Shihan will be missed deeply my condolences to his family and the aikido family . I very much enjoyed his friendship and company.

Condolences to Okimura Sensei's family, students and friends. I met Okimura Sensei at the CAA Doshu Seminar in 2019. While I didn't have an opportunity to practice with him, I did get to chat with him a few times. I found him to be a warm and very friendly person with a great sense of humor. I have no doubt he will be deeply missed by those that were close to him.

I studied with him in Baltimore and helped him when he first started teaching in Delaware. I was honored to have known him so sad to hear this

One of the best men I have met in my life, yet I have only met once in my life, has got his heavenly promotion. Rest In Peace 🙏
