"Various groups of people often visited the dojo to watch O Sensei demonstrate and listen to his lectures. O Sensei might do iriminage each time, but the emphasis and approach would change to relate tothe group’s specific interests. For a group of dancers, he would emphasize the grace and beauty in the power of his movement. A group of budoka would be shown the crisp power and devastating martial application. Bill Gleason Sensei and Raso Hultgren Sensei co-taught an awesome seminar this weekend at Aikido of Maine. The theme of this event was MANIFESTING AIKIDO PRINCIPLE THROUGH KOKYU AND CONNECTION and both teachers did an awesome job working with each other to give this a real unified and complementary feel. This was the first of four paird nanadan ASU events. The next one is hosted by Chicago Aikikai with Tres Hofmeister sensei and Robin Cooper sensei, June 9-11. Their Theme is SPONTANEOUS ADAPTATION TO CHANGING CIRCUMSTANCES! This will also be a great event! There is still some space.
