Aikido of Northern Virginia is inviting all to join us in celebrating Mike Lasky’s 50 years in Aikido.
Our celebration will include instruction by his colleagues and students over the decades. Including Jim Sorrentino, Ed Cline, John Taylor, Chuck Webber, Eugene Lee, Robert Deppe, Kamena Lee, Art Benjamin and Cyd Curtis Bates
Mike Lasky began his Aikido training in 1975 as a freshman at Oberlin College under Frank Hreha Sensei. Mr. Lasky continued his study with Mitsugi Saotome Sensei in 1975, and he followed Saotome Sensei to Washington, DC, in 1979.Mr. Lasky served on the Board of Directors of Aikido Shobukan Dojo from 1981 to 2003. He received his 6th dan in 2001. Mr. Lasky is ever dedicated to the study of Aikido and has been teaching at Aikido of Northern Virginia for over 20 years.
