How Do Contributions Help ASU?

ASU visions and projects, such as grant awards and Aiki Shrine improvement, are greatly dependent on your generosity. One-time donations and recurring monthly gifts contribute significantly to the flux of energy through our organization.  There are projects underway that need resources now, and projects on the way meant to service ASU members and the message of Aikido. Contributions fulfill needs on all levels.

Ways You Can Make a Difference

If you can encourage or contribute financial or other support, there are a variety of ways you can make a difference:

  This is an easy way to contribute every time you make a purchase on Amazon. Go to smile.amazon.com to set up your Smile account which automatically donates a small percentage of your expenditures to the Aikido Schools of Ueshiba at no cost to you.
  
  
• Top Off Your ASU Dues
  Add an additional amount when you send in your annual ASU dues.  Designate your donation to go to ASU NOW when you pay your regular yearly dues.
  
  
• Make a Dojo-wide Contribution
  ASU recognizes that some dojos are struggling at this time.  However, if the health of your dojo is secure, consider a donation from the entire dojo.
  
  
• Annual Timed Contributions
  Dedicate a date to make a recurring scheduled contribution. We can walk you through any step of this process and remind you when your scheduled draft date is near as needed.
  
  
• Estate Giving
  Designate the ASU as a beneficiary recipient of an amount or percentage from your estate or will. This kind of generous gift will establish a path for all those who will follow; it will leave a dignified legacy of devotion and inspiration. • Corporate or Foundation Giving
  If you are a business owner or member of a charitable foundation that designates annual contributions to non-profits, you can direct a percentage of your annual giving to the ASU, a 501c3.
  
  

The Mission of Aikido Schools of Ueshiba is to promote the message and vision of aikido as transmitted by Morihei Ueshiba O-Sensei to Mitsugi Saotome Shihan. It is to extend human potential, leadership skills, efforts towards the dissemination of harmonious interaction, and to spread peace in the world! 

The Aikido Schools of Ueshiba (ASU) was founded as the membership organization that affiliates all of the Aikido dojos under the instruction of Saotome Shihan and his students. It is currently established as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. The name of the organization reflects a commitment to the vision of O-Sensei, and not the cultivation of a style or territory. ASU is affiliated with Aikido World Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan.
