This July 21 and 22 (2018), all ASU students preparing for their shodan, nidan, and sandan examinations are invited to join us for our eighth annual Yudansha Prep Workshop series held in Florida. These Workshops have helped dozens of candidates have more confidence, build friendships with their testing peers, and to perform tests they were proud of. North Florida School of Aikido will be hosting the annual ASU Florida Regional Testing Seminar August 11-12, 2018. The seminar will be held at the North Florida School of Aikido. Bushin Dojo in Nashville, TN will be hosting George Ledyard, Sensei August 31 through September 3, 2018, Labor Day Weekend. This intensive will offer four full days of instruction on the mind / body principles that function to create aiki. Bond Street Dojo is pleased to welcome back Ikeda Shihan for our annual fall seminar. Ikeda Sensei has spent over 40 years traveling extensively throughout the United States and the world promoting Aikido’s philosophy of non-violence, peace, and self-development through constant training. His teaching emphasizes learning and understanding Aikido with the body, specifically the concept of “chushin” or how to maintain one’s own center while breaking another’s balance. This seminar will be conducted by George Ledyard Sensei, Aikido 7th Dan , a direct senior student of Mitsugi Saotome Shihan. It will focus on identifying, practicing and instructing the mind / body principles which makes Saotome Shihan’s Aikido unique.
The goal is to leave each attendee with an outline of the body / mind principles which allow one to do technique with “aiki”. A written lesson plan will be provided and by the end of the weekend, the attendee should have an array of exercises that he or she can use to practice and teach these skills.

Oberlin Aikikai will host Hiroshi Ikeda Shihan for the Oberlin May Fair Seminar May 3 – 5, 2019.
